Antique Young Boy's High Neck Shirt Top
I am no expert on vintage/antique clothing but I know this is old. I would think sometime from the late 1800's or early 1900's. It looks like Victorian period.
As for condition there is some staining and age discoloration. There is 1 button missing (see photo 7 second button from the top). There are 3 hook closures on the one shoulder that look like there is some old rust marks on the material (photo 5). Has an embroidered scalloped edge starting at the top of the neck down the front area. There are 2 belt loops one on each side but I have no belt with it. There are no holes, rips or tears but the armpit looks a little funny on the stitching. Perhaps it was repaired (photo 12). Photo 6 is the sleeve cuff.
I am not sure when they started putting tags in clothing but it looks like there was a tag however it is all faded and has no information on (photo 8).
I have not attempted to wash this or treat any of the stain or discoloration.
As for material I'm not knowledge on that but this is like a thicker stiffer material. Almost like a thin canvas. It is ivory/ecru in color.
Measures 22 1/2" long. Armpit to armpit 16". Neck 4 1/2". Sleeve 14 1/2" long.
